In August 2014 I moved to Belém, Brazil to be a student at the School of Community Development hosted by YWAM Amazon Reach (JOCUM Alcance Amazônico).

During this time, I fell in love with Brazil and stayed in the country on and off for the next four years, as much as my visa would allow. I became a staff member at the next school of community development in 2016 and helped the newly formed organization develop their online presence through photography and videography.

The majority of my time here was spent in communities near the base of the Amazon River. I would develop relationships with Ribeirinho and Quilombola communities, and translate for short-term groups who would occasionally visit.
