In 2018, I went on a short (10-day) study trip to Ethiopia to see the fieldwork of Run for Water.

This organization partners with rural communities and local nonprofits in Ethiopia to build infrastructure like wells, classrooms, and latrines. By consulting and partnering with communities, Run for Water is breaking the legacy of colonialistic development practices and creating a sustainable development model that champions the community.
